About Me
Hi there! My name is Bella Marslen and I am a 20 year old musician studying a bachelor of classical voice at WAAPA.
I discovered my passion for music at a young age, taking a particular interest in classical voice when I was employed by the WA Opera in 2011 as a children’s chorus member for their production of Pagliacci.
I was awarded a bursary for music from years 7-12 at Perth College which allowed me to study classical voice as a WACE subject alongside taking vocal AMEB exams. During my schooling years I took part in many musicals and productions, including the stage show of Highschool Musical in which I played the role of Sharpay.
Since starting WAAPA in 2017 I have been awarded the Royal Overseas League Junior Singing Award and the Friends of the Academy 1st year Classical Vocal Prize.
During 2017 I also worked for Encore Kids Parties as an entertainer, dressing as their favourite character or fairy to make birthdays and events as special as possible.
This job required a WWC which I have and has given me lots of experience with children of all ages.

Who do I teach?
Beginner/Intermediate - age 7+

What to expect:
Before we get started I will ask you what you would like to achieve during our lessons.
Within every lesson however you can expect vocal warm up exercises, instruction on breathing technique and to learn song repertoire (subject to your preference in music style).
During our lessons there is also the option to learn theory and aural. If you would like to take your performance to the next level we can also explore text analysis and character development.

Pricing - 1h lessons
First Lesson - $45 per student
Following lessons - $55 per student
